West Gables Earns Florida’s First Skilled Nursing Stroke Rehab Certification

West Gables Health Care Center in Miami has become the first skilled nursing facility in Florida—and one of the first nationwide—to earn the American Heart Association’s Skilled Nursing Facility Stroke Rehabilitation Certification. The center’s specialized stroke recovery program, led by a neurologist and a PM&R specialist, offers evidence-based, individualized care focused on restoring function and improving quality of life after stroke. The certification recognizes West Gables’ commitment to high standards in stroke rehab, from pre-admission through discharge. The facility also holds certifications for heart failure care, accreditation from The Joint Commission, and a CMS Five-Star Quality Measures rating.
